Interestingly, the business world does fall prey to those same myths, but also certain attitudes that lead business owners to think they can go without carpet cleaning, or let it fall by the wayside.

“Customers are here to buy my products, not look at my carpet.”
While this might be true (with the obvious exception of retail carpet sales), customers make assumptions based on their environment. Some will go so far as inspect your bathroom to see if its cleaned and stocked, and yes, even stoop down to tie their shoe as they check your carpet. Both these objections are myths, plain and simple. As soon as the carpet is in use, it’s getting dirty – and not just from use, but from particulates floating in the air. In fact, allowing dirt and pollutants to linger in your carpet makes it wear out sooner. Those particulates act as abrasives, working their way against your carpet pile. Not only that, but many carpet manufacturers have a place in their warranty which requires a professional carpet cleaning within the first two years. You could become liable for carpet damage if you don’t have it cleaned.
