Mattress Cleaning

Did you know?

A typical bed mattress contains anywhere from 100,000 to 10 million dust mites.

Ten percent of the weight of a two year old pillow may be composed of dead mites and their droppings.

Dust Mites live primarily in mattresses. But why? It's warm, cozy, easy to hideaway and since mites feed off dead skin, (we shed around 10,000 skin flakes a day, most of which are on the mattress), it makes for the perfect home for these critters.

What effects do they have on us?

Mostly allergy related problems such as Excessive Sneezing, Wheezing, Itchy Red Eyes, Headaches, Asthma, Eczema, Hay Fever, Bronchitis and even Fatigue. It's not the mites themselves that we are allergic to, it's their excrement. With that being said, mites produce 200 times its body weight in excrement during their normal life span.

Household vacuums or shop-vacuums don't have the effective power to remove the dust mites or their droppings. You need a professional cleaner to safely sanitize and deep clean your mattress. Around 85% of allergy sufferers are allergic to dust mite's droppings, so having your mattress professionally cleaned will significantly reduces the severity with allergic reactions.
