Carpet Cleaning Frequently Asked Questions

How often should I vacuum my carpets?

We recommend if possible, vacuum the high traffic areas everyday, but at least 2-3 times per week.

Why is my carpet looking dull?

If regular vacuuming is not helping the carpet look like it once did, it is time to have it deep cleaned. Our IICRC (Institute of Inspection, Cleaning & Restoration Certified) carpet cleaners & firm is trained with the best and safest cleaning methods for your carpet.

How long will it take to clean my home/ business and how long will it take to dry?

Depending on the size of your home, it can take anywhere from an hour to three hours to clean. By the time we leave, the carpet is around 70% dry but it can take up to 5-7 hours to dry completely.

How can I speed up the dry time after the cleaning?

Maintain the air temperature at a normal indoor setting (around 70 degrees), or increase it slightly. Turn on ceiling fans or place movable fans near the cleaned carpet. Even open up some windows to keep a good air flow.

What should I do before the carpet cleaner arrives?

If we have your email address, we will send out a letter stating all the things that should be done before the technician arrives. It is helpful to pick up any small or breakable items and move them out of the way. We highly encourage you to vacuum to pick up any debris.

Will the technician move all of my furniture?

No. Bookcases, beds, dressers, cabinets, television stands, electrical/computer equipment, etc. will not be moved. Chairs, couches, tables, chairs and other types of similar furniture can be moved if during the cleaning. Please inform the office when scheduling if you would like any furniture moved and remind the technician upon arrival.

Why should I have carpet protector put on my newly cleaned carpet and how does it work?

Carpet protector actually is applied onto every new carpet that you will see sold in a carpet retail store. The reason for this is that it helps your carpet stay cleaner longer, looks brighter and will protect against both oil based and water based stains. The proctectant is a plastic based liquid which provides an invisible shield around each fiber to keep dirt, grime, and stains from lodging in your carpet.

How long will the applied carpet protector last?

Carpet protector will wear off over time with vacuuming and cleanings. It should be reapplied each time the carpets are professionally cleaned.

What is the best method for removing a spill?

Solid spills should be scooped up into a paper towel, then blotted. Liquid spills should be blotted, never rubbed.   Use our Home Pro Spotter bottle for a better attempt at removing spots. Call us for any questions and be sure to look at our stain removal guide here on the website.

Am I getting a good buy with the cleaning specials such as three rooms for $39.99?

Be sure to read the fine print. Beware of pricing that sounds too good to be true. It most often than not, IS too good to be true. Most cleaning is based on the total number of square feet. A reliable firm will do a pre-inspection and provide a written agreement before any work is started. Also, be sure to see if they guarantee their work.
